Mario Guadagnino, painter-engraver, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, where he studied painting with G.Cadorin, and engraving with G.Giuliani and C.Magnolato.
In 1972 he became the first faculty member appointed to the Professorship of Engraving in that Academy, a teaching position he held until 2000.
In 1996 he was awarded the International Biella Prize for Engraving. He has participated in major engraving exhibitions in Italy and abroad.
He was a member and on the board of directors of the Venetian Association of Engravers.
His work has been shown and can be seen both in public and private, national and international,  collections; and is included in the publications: Repertorio degli Incisori Italiani di stampe antiche e moderne di Bagnacavallo. (the prestigious Directory of Italian engravers of the antique and modern prints of Bagnacavallo.)
