Ziggiotti Marina

 

 

Marina Ziggiotti was born in Roncade (Treviso, Italy), in 1945. She moved to Padua in 1952.
Her first exhibition was in 1972. In 1976 on the occasion of her personal exhibition at the Gallery
“Il Riccio” in Venice, she realized her first etching, a technique that she continued practising and improving successfully with recognition also at an international level.
As a professional artist, she held many solo and group exhibitions.
Among many others, she took part to the Graphic Art Biennials held in Ljubljana (Slovenia), Zagreb (Croatia) , Tuzla, Varna (Bulgaria), Ankara (Turkey) and Cremona (Italy); as far as the Triennial Exhibitions are concerned, she participated to those in Prague (Czech Republic) and Lodz (Poland). During this last one, where she received the medal of honour.
She took also part to international exhibitions in Tokio (Japan), Donzale (Slovenia), Sarajevo (Bosnia), Risor (Norway) and Cadaquès (Spain), during which she was awarded with the chance of holding an individual exhibition the following year, which was regularly held in the same city in 1987.
In Italy, her homeland, she participated to many group exhibitions and held individual exhibitions, won numerous prizes and awards, and had her works published and reviewed on both national and international catalogues, such as the ten works of her published on “Contemporary art print of the world” (Seoul-Kyoto).
Her works are part of private and public collections.
